The Moka pot was invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti, an Italian engineer. The pot works by forcing hot water through tightly packed ground coffee. This high-pressure infusion results in a strong, full-bodied cup of coffee.

The pot is made from durable aluminium. It features a thermoplastic handle and easy-clean safety valve. You can use it on gas and electric stovetops. It’s also compatible with induction hobs when paired with the Bialetti induction plate.
