Description

Chatica aji amarillo paste brings the flavours of Peru to your dinner table. It’s made with medium-hot yellow chilli peppers that have a distinctive fruity flavour. Use this vibrant paste in dressings and marinades for meat and fish.

In South America, aji amarillo paste adds heat to soups and slow-cooked stews. It’s a key ingredient in aji de gallina, a creamy chicken casserole with a spicy kick. The tender chicken is shredded and served with white rice and boiled eggs.

For a Peruvian-inspired sauce, blend the paste with mayonnaise, tomato purée, lime juice and queso fresco. The tangy, cheesy dip is delicious with French fries, tortilla chips and raw veggies. Try drizzling it over grilled chicken or fish tacos.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and use within seven days.
