Description

The Microplane spice grinder is an essential tool for releasing the full flavours of large, whole spices like nutmeg and cinnamon.

Pull out the main body, or plunger, of the grinder, and place whole spices in the base. Replace the plunger and turn clockwise while applying pressure. In seconds you’ll have finely ground spices ready for cooking.

So, why grind whole spices when ready-ground ones are easy to come by? Ready-ground spices lose their potency faster than whole spices – especially if they’ve been sitting in the cupboard for a while. Grinding whole spices only when you need them ensures you get more intense flavours and aromas, so your dishes will always taste their best.

The spice grinder is also a handy storage pot for leftover whole spices. Unscrew the top of the plunger to reveal an air-tight compartment.

The Microplane spice grinder features a soft-touch black coating. The 128 ultra-sharp, photo-etched blades are made in the same way as Microplane graters – the graters of choice for professional chefs and home cooks all over the world.
